Stardalen in Jølster, the village beneath the glacier, offers many fantastic nature experiences. Here, you can go on various mountain hikes in all directions. Haugabreen is an easily accessible glacier arm belonging to Myklebustbreen, Norway's seventh-largest glacier, located in Jostedalsbreen National Park. This is a well-known tourist destination.
Stardalen, the village beneath the glacier, is a community with many active farmers engaged in livestock production.
If you want to take a day trip to places like Sogndal, Stryn, or Geiranger, it is fully possible.
